About this winery
It was Marlborough that broke the Kim Crawford virtual spell for the new millennium when the founders rented a state of the art winery and purchased vineyards in Marlborough’s cool Waihopai Valley in 2000. Why Marlborough? - “No other region in the world can match Marlborough, the northeastern corner of New Zealand’s South Island, which seems to be the best place in the world to grow Sauvignon Blanc grapes.” - George M. Taber, noted American wine

Product notes
Ideal for all occasions, especially with fresh seafood and vegetables.
Production notes
The grapes were gathered in our plots in the Marlborough area, before being gently pressed and placed in vats for fermentation. Each plot is vinified individually to preserve the character of each one. The grapes from the Wairau Valley portion bring the classic aromas of passion fruit and grapefruit, while those of lemon, lime and fresh herbs come from Awatere Valley and Southern Valley. The blending of the two creates an amalgam of aromas and a concentration of typical flavours that characterize Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc so well.
Tasting notes
Pale yellow. Nose tropical fruits like pineapple and mango on notes of lemon and grapefruit. Herbaceous and mineral notes complete the whole. Fresh wine on the palate, juicy with a vibrant acidity, ample and long on the palate.
