Production notes
The Prisoner was inspired by the mixed black grape wines first made by the first Italian immigrants who settled in the Napa Valley. The Prisoner is today the most recognized red mixture. It has resurfaced interesting mixtures by incorporating zinfandel into the improbable blend of cabernet sauvignon, small sirah, syrah and charbono.
Tasting notes
It has seductive aromas of Bing cherry, dark chocolate, cloves and roasted fig. Persistent flavours of ripe raspberry, Boysen blackberry, pomegranate and vanilla linger harmoniously in a sweet and tasty finish.
