Product notes

Marked by the second straight year of drought, the 2021 growing season began early with the onset of warm temperatures in the spring. Due to a limited water supply, vineyard managers used canopy manipulation techniques to reduce stress on the vines. Cooler temperatures in July and August prolonged the hang time, allowing the fruit to ripen and develop fresh fruit flavors. The small clusters and berries of this vintage contribute desirable flavor profiles and balanced wines.

Tasting notes

Grapes for this Cabernet Sauvignon are sourced from some of the best growing regions in California. Cabernet Sauvignon grown in the northern parts of Sonoma County contributes rich flavors of dark plum and black cherry with a hint of spice and ripe tannins. Cab grown in California’s Central Coast region brings flavors of blackberry, blueberry, and dried cranberry. This vibrant, fruit forward wine is laced with flavors of toasted oak and hints of warm brown spice, and finishes with velvety tannins. Elegant and food friendly, this wine is sure to please. Enjoy it with grilled portobello mushroom burgers, grilled steak with blue cheese butter, braised short ribs, pizza with sausage and mushrooms, and aged cheeses.
